1 Apologies – There were no apologies.
2 Declarations of Interest – There were no declarations of interest.
3 Written applications for dispensations under the Localism Act 2011 – There were no written applications for dispensation.
4 Approval of the minutes 12th March 2024 – It was resolved to accept the minutes of the meeting and these were duly signed by the Chairman as an accurate record,
5 Insurance query: ownership of the building – The Clerk reported that there has been no progress with investigations into the query raised by the insurance company. The solicitors have apologised for their lack of progress. The Clerk will contact them again and request that their report be received by the end of December at the latest.
6 Report from Cllr Borasinski as liaison to the Village Hall Committee – Cllr Borasinski informed the trustees of personnel changes on the committee; namely the resignation of the booking secretary: Gill Brealey, the treasurer: Sandie Buxton and committee member: Kay Ridler. He reported on two new appointments: Cllr Gary Lloyd had been appointed as treasurer and Clare Barnett as booking secretary.
Cllr Borasinski reported that issues regarding non-payment of an invoice were still ongoing. He expressed, on behalf of the committee, frustration regarding the lack of action relating to the renovation of the village hall.
7 Resignation of three committee members: The trustees wanted to note their thanks to the outgoing committee members for their service to the village hall and to wish them well for the future. Chair, Sue Tudor, will present a token of appreciation at the next village hall committee meeting on the 21st November at 09:30. All trustees were invited to attend.
