- Apologies: Apologies were received from Cllrs Philpott, Dando, Borasinski and Oakden. It was resolved to accept these.
- Declarations of Interest: There were no declarations of interest.
- Written applications for dispensations under the localism Act 2011: There were no written applications for dispensation.
- Meadow Road lease: Documentation was received from Wooliscrofts Solicitors regarding the lease of land off Meadow Road from Stafford Borough Council. The summary of potential matters/issues for attention sent by Wooliscrofts were considered. It was resolved that the Clerk would feedback with the Parish Council’s responses to each point raised.
- Cricket Club lease: The Clerk confirmed that Wooliscrofts Solicitors are now in receipt of the Cricket Club deeds and also have a copy of the Energy Performance Certificate for the Pavilion.
Documentation was received from Wooliscrofts Solicitors regarding the new lease. The summary of potential matters/issues for attention were considered. It was resolved that the Clerk would feedback with the Parish Council’s responses to each point raised.
The Clerk would request that the lease be amended to reflect the Parish Council’s position; that the Parish Council own the land and do not have an insurable interest on it; insurance should be taken by the tenant to indemnify the Parish Council against loss and damage on their land.
