Meaford

There was a meeting last night at the George and Dragon involving County Councillor Ian Parry and around 20 Meaford villagers to discuss the recent flooding problems. Ian brought two civil engineers who knew the area well with him.

It would seem that the problem that caused the flooding has now been fully diagnosed.  It was caused by drainage pipes that had been installed during  a renovation/development  being too small in diameter and this issue being compounded by tree debris causing obstructions to the flow of water in the pipes. The meeting was told that the owner of Meaford Hall had agreed to undertake the necessary repair and repair work.
