2          Declarations of Interest – Cllr’s Jones and Bentley declared an interest as Chair of the Village Hall Committee.

3          Written applications for dispensations under the Localism Act 2011 – There were no applications for dispensation.

4          Minutes of 7 July 2020 – It was resolved to accept these as a true record.

5          Updates

(a) Village Hall Clock – The clock is not telling the correct time, we are working with the suppliers on this.  It was resolved to schedule the Mayor to do the unveiling.  We are still waiting on the arrival of the Heron Weathervane, Clerk to chase.

(b) Replacement of Village Hall Garages including weather strip.  We had agreed a schedule with the suppliers to fit in with the shrubs being removed first week in September; garages to be demolished w/c 7 September, with the new garages being installed w/c 14 September. However, the Clerk received a phone call from the demolition Company on Sunday 31 August informing her that the works were scheduled to commence on Monday 1st September.  As the shrubs had not been removed or the garages emptied, we agreed he would hold off until Friday 4th / Saturday 5th September to enable us to make the necessary arrangements.

To include a weather strip on the bottom of the Proscenium garage would cost £125, it was resolved to approve this expenditure.

(c) Trenton building works are now complete.

(d) The Air Conditioning Unit has not been reinstated as it was not earthed and deemed

6          Phase II (drainage works). Schedule of works was to be submitted to Trenton Construction, however it was noted these would sub contract these out to a third party.  Given their handling of the previous works, it was resolved to suspend Standing Orders and appoint the drainage works to Superrod with a budget of £5k.

7          The Auditor had signed off the annual accounts and was pleased with how these were managed.  The Clerk to submit the figures to the Charity Commission.
