Public Open Forum

1          Apologies – Cllrs Dando, O’Dunne and Adams-Elsmore submitted their apologies, it was resolved to accept these.

2          Declarations of Interest – There were no declarations of interest.

3          Written applications for dispensations under the Localism Act 2011 – There were no written applications for dispensation.

4          Sole Trustee Meeting Minutes 4 April 2022 – It was resolved to accept these as a true record.

5          Matters arising from the meeting of 4 April 2022 and not otherwise on the agenda

6          Tender update for the Design of the Porch – Cllr Borasinski will commence the process. There are minor tweaks to the original design, however this can be accommodated in the tender document.          

7          Operational Procedural Changes update – The Clerk has arranged to meet with the Committee during August.

8          Air Conditioning replacement unit update – The Village Hall Committee asked whether an air conditioning unit is cost effective as the number of classes using the equipment has reduced considerably.  However, the Parish Council resolved a new unit should be purchased.

The Clerk advised a quotation had been received however the power supply may need to be upgraded. The Clerk to investigate further.

9          Roller Shutter Door update – Cllr Borasinski to report back at the next meeting.

10        Fire door installation update – Works are now complete. However, when users are coming in and out of the kitchen they need the door propped open. This would require an electronic release system integrated with the alarm system. Cllr Borasinski agreed to investigate options available.

11        New ceiling lighting in the main hall – Works are now complete and working well.

12        Village Hall floor by kitchen – Works are complete.  It was noted the previous repair works to the main element of the floor needs to be addressed as this is not in keeping with the rest of the floor.  The Clerk to look at options.

13        Procurement of new sound system – The Village Hall Committee are looking at options.

14        Allied Westminster rebuild cost assessment form submission – Cllr Borasinski to forward the details to the Clerk.  

15        Change of utility supplier – The Village Hall Committee have terminated British Gas and opted for an alternative cheaper supplier.  

16        Village Hall Committee minutes – No minutes were available.
