Minutes of the Barlaston Parish Council Planning Meeting
Held on Tuesday 10 October 2023

A member of the public was also in attendance.
1 Apologies were received from Cllr A Hemming and Cllr V O’Dunne it was resolved to accept these.
2 Declarations of Interest – None
3 Written applications for dispensations under the Localism Act 2011 – There were no written applications for dispensation.
4 Minutes of meeting dated 1st August 2023 were accepted as a true record and were duly signed by the Chairman
5 Planning issue(s) and outcomes
Issue arising from the Call In for The Cottage on The Green, no response has been had from the Planning Chief Executive for the County Council. Clerk to contact the Chief Executive of the County Council to express dissatisfaction of the lack of response to this issue and to ensure that Barlaston Residents are able to give their opinions on planning issues in the future.
Cllr Jones reported that the planning application for the Lakeside Tavern/Barlaston Golf Club has been called in. Developer is unclear as to what he wants to do with the site and has asked for a meeting with the Planning Officer to discuss this
Planning Application Reference 23/38147/FUL described as New Dwelling, Land rear of 75 Longton Road, Barlaston, Stoke on Trent – it was decided to state the Parish Council NOT in favour due to the development being part of Green Belt as set out in the Neighbourhood Plan.
