A reminder to all that the Parish Council is holding an Open Afternoon at the Village Hall on Saturday 17th December. The event is from 3.30 to 5.30pm. There is no question of missing the final of ‘Strictly’ by attending.
Tony Dodd will be the Master of Ceremonies and Ashley Mellor, the Director of Music at St John the Baptist is arranging a varied programme of music featuring the Church Choir, a jazz combo and some young local musicians who will play solos and duets. All the music will have a seasonal theme.
Charles Aked has agreed to run a quiz and there will be prizes for the three highest scorers.
Light refreshments including mulled wine will be served. Tea or coffee will be available if preferred.
This event provides a good opportunity for the ‘Village’ to come together before Christmas.
