I have received a letter from the Post Office stating that there is a proposal to move the Village Post Office from Longton Road to Leese’s of Barlaston. If the move goes ahead, subject to consultation, the Post Office will become a new style local branch. There will be a six week consultation starting on 19th November through to 11th January. The changeover would take place during February 2013.
The Post Office would be open 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 10pm on Sundays again subject to consultation.
With the exception of international parcels, the current services will be maintained.
